A new free water safety program is now available for Victorian families.
Kingswim is on offer in all kindergartens, with instructors concerned about children falling behind on swimming skills during Covid.
“Ideally we want kids to learn how to swim, but if there’s any kind of barriers to being able to afford swim lessons, we can do our bit out of the water to further educate kids how to be safer in and around the water.” – Anne Brown, Kingswim.
Drowning deaths in Australia are up 24 per cent in the last 10 years.
