Olympic swimmer Alicia Coutts has joined Kingswim as an ambassador for our new and improved Water Safety Program.
As a five-time Olympic medal winner and mum of young children, Alicia understands the importance of teaching kids water safety skills.
Our Water Safety Program was created almost 20 years ago by Anne Brown to help keep communities safer in and around water. Designed for children aged three to five years, the program can be delivered in early learning centres and kindergartens. Families can also use our fun and engaging activities to help their little ones learn water safety skills and knowledge.
Alicia will work with Kingswim to share our Water Safety Program with her Instagram followers, so more families around Australia can learn how to be safer in and around water.
In her first post, Alicia shared her pride at being an ambassador for our Water Safety Program. She wrote:
“Anne’s vision came about almost two decades ago to promote water safety in her community, following devastating drowning reports. I feel honoured to help spread awareness of Anne’s vision. Anne and the team have now set an ambitious goal of reaching 1 million children through the new program – and I’m right behind them!”
